Game Locker Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 28 August 2026
1. Suspicious activity and fraud prevention policy
Game Locker is committed to maintaining a safe and trustworthy marketplace. We may monitor account, order, payment, listing, and transaction activity to identify suspected fraud, abuse, or misuse of the marketplace.
Where suspicious activity is identified, Game Locker may take reasonable action, including requesting additional information or verification, limiting account features, cancelling or restricting orders, delaying or withholding seller payouts where permitted, or suspending or terminating accounts.
Game Locker may use automated and manual processes to identify suspicious activity. To protect the security and integrity of the marketplace, Game Locker is not required to disclose specific fraud detection methods or thresholds.
Users who believe their account has been restricted or suspended in error may contact Game Locker Customer Service for review.
2. Buyers
Fair dealings
All Buyers, in purchasing, receiving and dealing with their orders, must act fairly and reasonably. Buyers must not engage in fraudulent or abusive purchasing activity, including misusing chargebacks, returns or promotions.
Chargebacks and returns
Before filing a chargeback or other payment dispute with your card issuer or payment provider about an order, you must raise the issue with the Seller and Game Locker Customer Service and use reasonable efforts to resolve it with them (including, where applicable, under the Seller Returns Policy - see Shipping, Returns & Refunds Information). If you don't, Game Locker may suspend your account and/or recover from you any chargeback fees or losses that we or the Seller incur as a result, unless raising it first would cause you to miss a deadline your card issuer or payment provider sets for lodging the dispute (other than because of your own delay in raising the issue).
A Buyer must not:
- file a chargeback or payment dispute for an order where a remedy has already been provided or committed to by the Seller or Game Locker;
- make repeated or serial returns, or falsely claim an item doesn’t match its listing, to obtain a refund or other remedy the Buyer is not entitled to; or
- misuse a discount, promotion or referral offer, including by combining offers not intended to be combined, or using multiple accounts to claim an offer more than once.
Breach of this clause may result in suspension or termination of the Buyer’s account under the Game Locker Marketplace Terms.
Nothing in this clause limits any right or remedy a Buyer has under the Australian Consumer Law.
3. Sellers
Listings
A Seller must only list an item that:
- is a trading card located in Australia within the Seller’s possession and control
- is genuine and authentic
- it owns and is legally authorised or permitted to sell.
A Seller must not list any items that are prohibited under the Game Locker Marketplace Terms or this Acceptable Use Policy. Sellers are prohibited from listing any item that is counterfeit, replica, reproduction, custom-made or "proxy" card, doctored, tampered with or fraudulent (including where a third-party marking, certification or grading on or with the item is fraudulent, not genuine or tampered with).
An item that has been resurfaced, trimmed, re-backed or otherwise physically modified may only be listed if this is clearly and prominently disclosed in the listing, including all reasonable details.
Fair dealings
Sellers must act fairly and reasonably in relation to all listings and orders. Sellers must promptly accept or decline orders and respond to enquiries from Buyers, including under the applicable Seller Returns Policy. Repeated failures to comply with this requirement may result in suspension of the Seller’s account or selling privileges by Game Locker.
4. Trust and Integrity
Game Locker endeavours to provide a Marketplace for safe and fair trading of cards. If you suspect fraud, abuse or misuse, please report it to Game Locker Customer Service.
If Game Locker reasonably suspects fraud, abuse or misuse of the Marketplace, it may suspend your account or account features pending further investigation on notice.
